Clear, penetrating and herbal, Rosemary is distilled from the flowering tops and leaves of the herb originally native to Asia, and is considered a middle fragrance note. Rosemary has been used for centuries in Europe and Asia to symbolize loyalty, death, good memory and ritual purification.

Rosemary is very warming and invigorating making it excellent as a tonic for the central nervous system. It may help with stimulating blood circulation, improving memory, mental clarity and expanding awareness.

Topically and in massage, Rosemary is good for those who have chronic cold hands and feet, and lower blood sugar. It is said to help with arteriosclerosis since it has been known to strengthen the heart. It can be used as a tonic to the liver and gall bladder too.

Rosemary may be used in shampoo to help stimulate circulation, making it easier to grow hair.
