The Rise of Peanut Allergies

When my first child started school in 1996, I don't remember any children having a peanut allergy in school. Now that our younger kids are in school, there are multiple kids in each of their classes with either a peanut allergy or gluten intolerance.

"Parents often worry about peanut allergies because the reaction to peanuts can be very severe. New research being presented at the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) Annual Scientific Meeting suggests that peanut allergy in children has increased 21 percent since 2010, and that nearly 2.5 percent of U.S. children may have an allergy to peanuts." (1) That's a BIG increase.

Not only are peanut allergies on the rise, so are other food allergies. "More than 53,000 U.S. households were surveyed between October 2015 and September 2016 for the study. The research suggests that rates of peanut, tree nut, shellfish, fin fish, and sesame allergies are increasing. Allergy to tree nuts, for example, increased 18 percent from 2010 when data were last collected, and allergy to shellfish increased 7 percent. Also evident was an increase in occurrence in black children compared to white children."(1)

On New Year’s Day, an 11-year-old New Jersey boy passed away from just breathing in cooked fish at his grandmother’s house. Anaphylaxis to many things is also on the rise. Is there a corelation?

Why are Food Allergies on the Rise?

Like wheat, peanuts are a heavily sprayed crop. Many of us have no idea that peanuts are treated with controversial pesticides. In fact, peanuts in the U.S. are now one of the most "contaminated" snacks we eat! When crops are sprayed, the spray doesn't just affect that crop. It gets washed off into the soil and can affect anything and everything in that area. For years to come.

Dr. Robyn O’Brien has her own theories as to why this happens. Like her, I believe our food isn’t necessarily the problem. It is what we are doing to our food the is a HUGE problem. How is it grown? What is sprayed on it? Is it genetically modified to withstand insects? Where is it grown? Etc.

In her article, she states "Because the peanut is also a big target for little pests, peanuts are also one of the crops most heavily routinely saturated with pesticides. Most of the peanuts consumed in the U.S. are now one of the most pesticide-contaminated snacks we eat. The USDA Pesticide Data Program found 8 pesticides on peanut butter. Piperonyl butoxide was found 26.9% of the time."

"Piperonyl Butoxide (PBO), a highly toxic substance that causes a range of short- and long-term effects, including cancer and adverse impacts on liver function and the nervous system, is one of the most commonly used synergists in pesticide products. Synergists are chemicals added to pesticide formulations to enhance the toxicity of the active ingredients." (3)

"According to farmers, “Peanuts are raised in the part of our country where peanuts are a rotation crop with cotton. Most of the cotton is glyphosate tolerant and receives numerous glyphosate applications per year. Glyphosate severely damages the beneficial microorganisms in the soil. This leads to an increase in the population of opportunistic or bad organisms in the soil. The bad organisms cause an increase in the number of diseases that will adversely effect the peanut crop. This leads to an increased use of insecticides and fungicides on the peanut crop. It is common to see a conventional peanut crop sprayed with some type of pesticide every 8-10 days during the growing season.” (4)

When my first child started kindergarten in 1996 I don't remember any children having a peanut allergy in school. Now that our younger kids are in school, there are multiple kids in each of their classes with either a peanut allergy or gluten intolerance.

Approximately 50-100 people in the US die each year due to unintended peanut ingestion. That number is rising every year.

Could this be Attributed to Vaccinations?

Is there a link between the rise of food sensitives and food allergies with the amount of vaccinations our children are getting now? I have searched this topic 100 different ways only to find pretty much nothing. That doesn't mean the vaccines are not contributing to the reactions. That just means that there isn't anything I can find online. Vaccine ingredient aren't ALL listed.

However, I did find this. According to Robert K. Kennedy, Jr. and the Children's Health Defense.org, "An important and clear distinction must be made between sensitizing someone to peanut and launching the allergic reaction. Sensitization is believed to occur when a protein bypasses the detoxifying process of the digestive system and becomes bonded with blood serum. This prompts specific blood cells to create antibodies that are then programmed to recognize the threatening protein—in this case, peanut protein. The launching of an allergic reaction, on the other hand, occurs when the body is subsequently exposed to the protein and the antibodies trigger the biochemical players in the allergic reaction."

What this means is that babies are NOT eating peanuts or being exposed to them through ingestion, but via injection. I don't know about you but I have never injected my kids with peanuts, I am sure you have not either. Yet, it is found in the bloodstream of infants! How did it get there? The ONLY plausible answer is through vaccines. Which EVERYONE on the planet claims cannot happen as vaccines DO NOT CONTAIN PEANUTS.

Injections cross the blood/brain barrier where ingestion generally doesn't. Injecting something into the body is more likely to cause a systemic response than just eating it. Another common allergen is eggs. Infants are not eating eggs, yet many are allergic. Why? Because many of the "active" ingredients in a vaccine are grown in chicken eggs.

Again, from the Children's Health Defense.org, "Researchers have not explored the role of adjuvants in peanut sensitization. They have preferred to focus only on the peanut proteins, their allergenicity, and the ingestion of them as the most obvious elements in sensitization. They seemed to think that if they could simply pinpoint the initial oral exposure to these proteins, they could stop the epidemic. To this end, they have considered the ways in which peanuts are prepared (boiled versus roasted), age when they are introduced to the child’s diet, maternal diet and breast milk, and even peanut oil used in nipple creams. Although it is possible to create the condition through simple ingestion, it is difficult. A healthy digestive system will neutralize any potentially sensitizing protein."

Babies are not exposed to many things that will disrupt their digestive systems. In the first months of life they drink milk. Either from their mother, or supplemented in some way. How are their digestive systems being disrupted in such a big way? I'll give you 2 guesses. If you guessed vaccines and prescription medications, you would be correct.

According to the Journal of Developing Drugs, "Vaccines and injections contain food proteins such as chicken egg, casein, gelatin, soy, agar etc. They also contain ingredients such as Polysorbate 80 and sorbitol which are manufactured using food sources. Checking with a few suppliers, Polysorbate 80 is sourced from various food items such as coconut, palm, sunflower, tapioca, wheat, corn etc. Other vendors could be using other vegetable oils, legume oils and nut oils as the source for oleic acid used in the manufacture of Polysorbate 80. It is impossible to guarantee that these products do not contain residual allergen proteins from these food sources."

We won't even discuss the effects of Polysorbate 80 here.

Is it plausible or even possible that vaccines contain peanut sources? Sure it is! If you have any true evidence and would like to share it with me I am more than willing to look at anything you have. Please send an email to me at melissa@sweetwillowspirit.com.

Recently, Children's Health Defense published and article Titled, No Enigma: Vaccines and the Food Allergy Epidemic, "Scientists use a variety of components to prepare vaccines—“active immunizing antigens, conjugating agents, preservatives, stabilizers, antimicrobial agents, adjuvants and culture media…as well as inadvertent contaminants that are introduced during vaccine handling.” Researchers acknowledge that any of these components is capable of triggering an allergic reaction, but they believe that proteins such as egg and gelatin may be especially likely to do so.

In fact, allergic reactions to gelatin are well known, “especially in injected medications and vaccines.” Japan chose to remove gelatin from vaccines two decades ago after confirming a relationship between the protein’s presence in vaccines and anaphylactic and allergic reactions. Not so in the U.S., which still includes gelatin in the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox) and other vaccines, despite documented anaphylactic reactions related to the gelatin in vaccines. Concerns recently intensified following the news that gelatin is now a vehicle for the introduction of glyphosate into vaccines. Researchers Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Seneff, who brought this problem to the public’s attention in a seminal 2017 publication in the Journal of Biological Physics and Chemistry, noted that vaccine manufacturers grow vaccine viruses on gelatin sourced from cows and pigs who consume large amounts of glyphosate-contaminated genetically modified (GM) feed."

When I mention what has been said above in polite conversation, people often look at me like I have grown 2 heads. Especially those who a pro vaccination. I have vaccinated children, I get it. One woman even said to me, "I'd rather believe a scientist than an herbal academic." lol Well, ok then!

We are taught at a young age to never question authority. We are taught that our doctors are very well educated and they are the experts. Well, I am finding that is not always the case. Medical school barely touches on vaccines and how safe/effective they are. We are taught what they want us to know. The truth is hidden. I know that to be true because I am having a hard time finding anything other than "there are no form of peanuts in vaccines". My gut tells me otherwise.

I don't claim to know everything, however I can do research and read. That is what I spend a majority of my day doing. Researching and weeding through the lies and things that are shared for us to believe. I am trying to find what is going on and if it is in deed true. If you have any topic you would like me to research and write an article on, please let me know! Otherwise, I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
