This is the third installment of our 5 part Series on the Great CBD Debate. You can go back and read any of the previous installments like The Classification of CBD, or The Legality of CBD. In this article I want to talk about some of the known benefits of CBD.

**DISCLAIMER: this is not to be used as legal advice. I am not a lawyer, consult with one if you feel the need before buying or selling CBD products in your state.**

As long as you stay within the legal guidelines for your state and are under the 0.3% THC content (which is what we carry on our website) you should be fine. As I said above, I am not a lawyer. If you live in a state where legislation is "iffy" please do your research. It seriously changes daily. Here in WI it changed 3 times in one week. It is finally approved for use here if it falls under certain criteria.

Benefits

In an article dated February 2018, on Stat.com titled, This scientist is testing a marijuana ingredient as a way to prevent relapse. It’s a daunting task, neuroscientist Yasmin Hurd is finding that cannibidiol is reducing cravings in patients who are addicted to opioids helping to reduce relapse. "Hurd has homed in on cannabidiol, one of the two main compounds plucked from the marijuana plant. She thinks it might hold the potential to curb cravings for heroin and other opioids." We need more scientists working on things like this. If she can figure it out, it will be a game changer.

  • Neuroprotective: protects nerve cells against damage, degeneration, or function

  • Antipsychotic: substance or drug used to reduce psychotic disorders

  • Anti-inflammatory: drug or substance used to reduce inflammation

I have written a blog post titled WHY CBD?, and another called LET'S TALK CBD. Both discuss the benefits of CBD also.

We have CBD back on the WEBSITE. YAY! Rest assured I use these products and know they are what they say they are. Should you have any questions, please send me an email at melissa@sweetwillowspirit.com. Have a wonderful day.

Love and light!

Melissa
