YOUR Health - Tough Love

I have a very awesome friend and mentor who does business coaching and it holding people accountable. I LOVE IT! It's time I do the same.
Let's face it, no one cares as much about you, as YOU do. Not your mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle or even your doctor. The only person who can control what happens to you, is YOU.
I know you might think my statement is harsh, but think about it. Really think about it. Not one person on this plant has as much invested into seeing a person strive and excel in life as they do in themselves. That means, the time is NOW to start getting shit done.
Yea, yea, yea, I've heard it all before. In fact I have said it all too. "I'm too busy." "That hurts." "This tastes bad." "I can't remember to do that every day!" "It's too expensive." Blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada. STOP! Just stop.

You think being healthy is expensive? Try being sick. According to the Washington Post, in 2016, the US spent $3.2 Trillion on healthcare. That cost continues to rise. Think about it. It is much less expensive to eat nutrient rich, non-processed, whole food, drink water, exercise and have adequate sleep, than have a disease. Every time you take a bite, think! “Will this hurt me or help me?” It's quality not quantity that matters. I hope 85% of the time it is "helping".
If you aren't taking the time to make beneficial decisions for yourself, who will? How stressful is your job or career? Does it affect your life in a negative way? Do you try and eat nutrient dense, non-processed, whole foods or are you eating from a drive-up window? How much sleep do you get every night? If not much, is that because you are partying too much? Are you sleep-deprived because you have a new baby? Are studying to make your life better? Or are you too stressed? Are you getting any sort of exercise at all?
Every decision we make on a daily basis shapes not only who we are, it shapes our health too. I remember walking by the break room on a daily basis and there would be all kinds of goodies to be shared. I also saw the same people in there gobbling them up. 9 times out of 10, those were not the people who should have been stuffing their faces.

Yes, I know, this is mean. I am not saying what I am to be a jerk or point fingers. Remember, I have been here. This is tough love. I want each and every one of you to have THE BEST LIFE POSSIBLE! That means sometimes the truth may hurt. We all have things we want to change about ourselves. If we can, we should! Within reason of course. We can't change our height, permanent eye color, etc. But...... we can change how eat, exercise, sleep and so much more.
If you were one of my clients, we would be having this difficult conversation. I cannot, and will not care more about your health than you do. If you don't want to make changes and adopt a new lifestyle, what's the point of scheduling an appointment? It' like throwing money away.
I truly am here when you need me. I can guide you, educate you and help you to have the best life possible. It just takes baby steps and a positive mindset. "I can't"..... may change into "I can and will". "I don't have time", can be "LET'S DO THIS!" We all need to start somewhere. I hope this is the motivation to take the first step into a whole new world. It may be daunting at first, but it is worth it.
