In a study done on pubmed.com, dated February 2014, Titled The influence of chemical composition of commercial lemon essential oils on the growth of Candida strains, "Several essential oils, including eucalyptus, pine, cinnamon and lemon, have been shown to be effective against Candida strains. Our study characterizes lemon essential oils, which could be used as very effective natural remedies against candidiasis caused by C. albicans."

According to pubmed.com, in a study dated March 5, 2014, The Effect of Lemon Inhalation Aromatherapy on Nausea and Vomiting of Pregnancy: A Double-Blinded, Randomized, Controlled Clinical Trial, "The Conclusion: Lemon scent can be effective in reducing nausea and vomiting of pregnancy.
